Our first target in our public service revolution is the Land Registry.  “Britain needs more homes”, has been the call for more than ten years.  “Britain needs a fluid housing market”, is our call.  The sales of housing and land generate huge income for the Government of the day.  Why do they “our Government” allow their business department B.E.I.S. to turn a blind eye to the torpor that is the Land Registry.  We will let you, our reader, contact Simon Hayes, Chief Executive & Chief Land Registrar of the Land Registry simon.hayes@landregistry.gov.uk to tell him your woes.   Downsizing – upsizing, development, land sales, all helps GDP and the exchequer.  The Land Registry is the key to a smooth conveyance.  Sale withdrawn, usually means a legal blockage.  Vendors frustrated with financial costs, buyers going elsewhere.
